Today we had a play date with mommies teacher friends. Alivia's friends are Hudson, Henry, Brielle, Mason and Ava. What a fun day we had and Alivia was worn out from watching all the big kids play. She went right home and crashed in her bed. She can't wait to play like the big kids! :)

Heather's Wedding
I was the matron of honor in my friend Heather's wedding this past weekend. Alivia got to come to the church with daddy and was such a good girl during the ceremony. She went to the reception with Grandma and Grandpa Stewart and then spent the night at their house while mommy and daddy had fun at the reception. We had a great time at the wedding and it was so...beautiful. Congrats Heather and JR!!! :)

Play Date
Today we had a play date with Ellie, Alex, Matthew and Morgan. Ellie is 16 weeks, Alex is 3 years old, Matthew is 17 weeks, Morgan is 14 Months and Alivia is now 24 weeks. We had a lot of fun with all the kids today. Taking the pictures was pretty funny because all of them kept doing funny things. Alivia loved playing with all the kids and scooting all over the place. She also LOVED playing with Alex. Alex was too cute. He would stack up Alivia's blocks for her and she would crawl and knock them over and then Alex would stack them back up for her again. It was too cute!

Ava's 2nd Birthday Party
Today we went to Ava's 2nd birthday party and Alivia wore her first bow headband. Mommy has been looking everywhere for some cute bows and she is still looking!! Daddy hates bows but we thought this was a special occasion today. :) Ava is mommy's friend, Allison's little girl. Alivia loved hanging out with Ava because this was the first time they have played together this summer. We can't wait to have a pool day with them soon. Ava is such a big girl now and loves babies. Ava and Alivia will be going to the same babysitter this year so I am sure they will become best buddies and Ava will teach Alivia everything since Ava is so...smart. :) The other little girl in the picture is my friend Libby's little girl. Karsen will be 6 in September and will be starting Kindergarten this year. WOW....they grow up so...fast!

Big Girl Stroller Walk
Alivia and I go on a walk every morning and today I decided to see if Alivia would like riding forward without her car seat. Usually her carrier is inside the stroller and she is facing me. I didn't know how she would do with the sun on her a little bit but she loved it. I kept moving the shade down when the sun came in because she didn't like the sun in her face but other than that she LOVED looking around at everything. Our little girl is growing up!! Only 3 more weeks of walking in the morning before Mommy has to go back to work. She will start at the babysitter on August 10th. :(

Baby Aven
Last week Alivia met with Makena and Claire to meet their new friend Aven. Aven is Matt and Sarah Osbornes little girl. We are so...happy for them! The girls can't wait to grow up together and be best friends. The last picture is a picture from Makena, Claire and Alivia's last play date with Makena before her mommy went back to work. Don't worry, we are going to start planning Saturday play dates since we will all be back at work soon!! This time next year they will all be running around so taking pictures I am sure will be a challenge. Can't wait for that!

Scooting
Alivia and mommy usually go on a walk every morning after Alivia eats her cereal and bottle. Today was the first day the entire summer that we couldn't go on a walk because it was raining pretty hard outside. So...we decided to practice crawling a little bit. Alivia's new favorite thing to do on the floor is try to scoot across her blanket to get something or knock something over. I caught her in the action this morning and we did this game for about 45 minutes. Every time Alivia would knock the blocks over I would pick them back up and we would start over again. It was pretty interesting to see her so..engaged with what she was doing! Boy, was she tired after scooting and working so hard!

Pool Day
Today Chad and Kristin, who are our very good friends and Alivia's god parents, came out to our pool for a fun day with Alivia. We played with Alivia in the water for a while and then she took a nap in her covered wagon and then woke back up for some more water play time. Our highlight of the day was when Alivia decided to poop in her diaper right after she got up from her nap. Daddy and Chad changed her diaper together as a team. It was pretty funny watching them change her diaper together. He, he! It was a great day of fun with Alivia and mommy and daddy even got some relax time too just hanging out with our friends. Alivia was such a good girl! :)

Swimming with Matthew
Today mommy and daddy took Alivia swimming with her good friend Matthew, Ashley and Tristan's little boy. Matthew is 15 weeks and Alivia is 22 weeks! They LOVE playing together. Alivia is really starting to like the water and finds new things she likes each time we swim. Today she liked floating on her back and every time her legs would touch the bottom of the pool she would put her legs up and try to float on her back. It was pretty funny. We got her a new floaty that has a shade on it so we can stay out in the sun a little bit longer but it is a little big for Alivia because she was sliding down through the holes. Daddy is going to see if he can tie something underneath it to make it fit Alivia a little better. We are looking forward to many more pool days the next 2 months! :)

Playing with daddy as he is making cool voices with the puppet.
She LOVES playing on the floor while making funny noises with her lips and tongue.
Prunes
Tonight we tried prunes for the first time. She LOVED, LOVED, LOVED them! She definitely needed a bath after those sticky prunes. Next, we are going to try pears and then we will be done with all the fruits. Prunes are by far her favorite but she really has liked all the fruits. Her favorite vegetable is green beans. She likes carrots ok but that is really the only other vegetable she likes. We will keep working on it though. I am just so...glad she at least likes one vegetable...YIPEE!!! Vegetables are actually mommy's favorite too!! :)

Fourth of July and 5 Months Old
Alivia is now 5 Months Old. She weighs 12 lbs 9 oz. and is 24 1/2 inches long and is in the 15-20th percentile for weight and height. We had a great first fourth of July with Alivia. Her favorite fireworks were the fountains. She loved watching daddy light the beautiful fountains. She stayed up a little past her bed time and they went to bed with no problem. We thought for sure the fireworks would keep her up but she went to sleep in no time. We hope everyone had a great fourth of July! :)

Bedtime Reading
Alivia has really started paying attention when we read to her before she goes to bed. Some of her favorite books so far are Counting Kisses, Good Morning Good Night and Goodnight Moon. She loves listening to animated voices when she is being read to. Since Mommy is a teacher she especially loves reading out loud to her. Daddy does a really good reading voice too! Grandma Stewart has some books that make noises and she loves those too. Our little girl is growing up everday. She is now 5 months old! Before we know it she will be in Kindergarten!! We are enjoying every minute with her! :)
