Alivia's First Fishing Trip

This morning my dad took Alivia on her first fishing trip so she could have some special one on one time since Will had been born. She woke up at 6:00 a.m. and got her fishing pole and was practicing her cast in the kitchen for 2 hours...I am not kidding. It was pretty funny. My dad was going to pick her up at 10:00 but came at 9:00 instead since she was so anxious. They had a great time and Alivia caught 10 fish. She thought it was funny to say that she caught blue gill with crickets. Thanks Dad for taking Alivia on this special trip. She can't wait to go again!!!

The Story in a nut shell!

So this morning at 1:45 I woke up and I had really bad contractions that were 2 minutes apart. I knew right away that it was time. I got in the shower and Ben packed all of our things and we left the house around 3:00. By this time my contractions were even close together. I was getting a little nervous since I was already dilated to a 4 before my contractions started. We quickly dropped Alivia off at my parents. Oh and she was wide awake the entire time in the car on the way there. I couldn't believe it. I tried to talk to her about what was happening but she was in a daze. She went right back to sleep at my parents. When we got to the hospital I forgot that the front entrance was closed so just as I was hobbling up to the front door we had to walk back to the car and go to the ER entrance. The best part is I told Ben to just tell them we need to check in to labor and delivery. Of course, you know what he says??? We walk in and he excitedly tells the lady, "We are having a baby!" ha! Those of you that know Ben know how comical he can be so this was pretty funny. They then wheeled me in a wheel chair up the labor and delivery and I got checked in. The nurse tried to take me to the triage room and after she saw how much pain I was in she decided not to. I don't think she believed me at first because I was trying to hold my pain in. The nurse checked me and I was at a 7. At this point I was worried I wasn't going to get my epidural but the nurse assured me the the anestesiologist was sleeping right down the hallway and that he could be here in no time. oh boy was I relieved!!! Everything was happening so quickly. Ben then called my mom because I wasn't thinking she needed to come up to the hospital so quickly but I was worried she wouldn't be there with me in time. SHE MADE IT THOUGH!! The nurse then called my doctor, Kimberly, who is amazing and she rushed to the hospital as well. She got there and broke my water and I was dilated to a 10 in about 5 minutes. She then said it was time to push and I couldn't believe it. 2 pushes and our little guy was here!!!! This was night and day from Alivia's delivery where my epidural didn't work like it was supposed to and I didn't like the numbing feeling. It was such a blessing this time to enjoy the process and relax a bit. So, we got to the hospital at 3:30 and I had him a 5:43. It was so fast it was almost like a dream!!! Needless to say I was about ready to meet the most special little guy in the world!!!! :)

Graduation Time

I can't believe this time is finally here, GRADUATION DAY! Today I graduated with my specialist degree in Adminsitration and School Principalship.  I am in my last class right now so I am not completely done with classes but the end is here for sure. It has been a stressful two years balancing school, my job and most importantly my family but it was an experience I will never forget. I LOVED being apart of the administration cohort program and I truly feel I have grown so much from the experience. I am so thankful for Ben and Alivia because there were many nights of sacrifices when I was at class or working on homework into the late hours. I am also thankful for my mom and dad and grandma as well because they were huge supporters through this process as well.
Thanks for believing in me and for always being by my side. I love you all!
