Christmas with Chad and Kristin

Tonight Chad and Kristin came over to visit. Alivia LOVES spending time with both of them. We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends and god parents for Alivia. They are truly apart of our family. Alivia was a little bit sassy tonight so they got to see a stubborn potty trainer and a little bit of timeout. lol!! Thank you for everything Chad and Kristin. WE LOVE YOU!!!

Play Date with Morgan

This morning we had a play date with Morgan. I am good friends with Morgan's mommy, Jami. We had a lot of fun playing at Morgan's house today. She has so many neat toys that Alivia LOVES! She loved them so much that she didn't like going to potty very much at their house because she had to stop playing. She did make it to the potty twice but had a little accident the second time. Thats ok, we are learning! She did go potty all by herself when we got home though before bed time. Morgan and Jami, thanks for a great morning. We LOVE playing with you!! Happy potty training Morgan. You did so good this morning and are such a big girl. We LOVE your potty parade and neat toy box. Hope to see you soon! :)

Eating lunch together in their underwear since Morgan is potty training too! :)

Look how cool this trampoline is??

TOO FUN!!! Morgan did some really cool jumps on it! :)

Christmas with the Hunt Family

This afternoon we had Christmas with the Hunt family. They are our very good family friends. Ashley and I must have thought alike because we both got the kids magna doodles!!! Alivia's was pink and Matthew's was Thomas the train. The kids had a blast playing together. It is too cute seeing them interact these days. Alivia even managed to potty 2 times at their house. I was so proud of her since this was her first "travel" potty since we have started underwear and pants. She also went potty 2 more times when we got home before she went to bed. YES, YES....this was a completely dry day for Alivia...YIPEE!!! What a big girl!!! What a wonderful day we had!! :)

KISSES!!!

Haircut #2

This morning was a BIG DAY for us!! I will have to admit I was quite nervous to take Alivia out with pants and underwear on but I was also pretty excited to get out of the house for a little bit. Her hair hasn't grown much but it is has grown just enough to get a little cut off to help with her frizziness. Jo Ann even put this product in her hair that made her curls look so cute and it looks like such a big girl haircut. Alivia DID great sitting in the chair by herself and even talked to Jo Ann this time. She ALSO stayed dry the entire time we were gone. When we got home we started playing and she said, "Pee, pee, Mommy!" and went potty on the toilet!! My big girl is growing up. I am a very proud Mommy, as I always am, but especially today. Alivia just went down for a nap and refused to go potty saying she didn't have to go so we will see if she is dry when she wakes up! lol! We are looking forward to Christmas with Matthew this afternoon!! :)

Jo Ann is enticing her with candy canes and suckers!!!!

LOVES the mirror!

Being so still!!

She even put her head down so she could cut the back!! What a good girl!

LOVES the blow dryer!

SO FUN!

The blank stare down that Alivia LOVES to give. I promise she was happy when this was taken but she just LOVES her stare downs. Look at her big girl haircut! :)

Potty Training Update...

Ok, so I lied about following the plan exactly like it says. I decided to put a pull-up on her at night time even though the book says not to. I am sure because of this it will take longer but I am willing to do that. I just couldn't help but put a pull-up on her in case she was sitting in pee all night. I figured I would see how she does with the pull-up and then take it away if she is dry. I know, I know, this isn't what I am supposed to do but we are going to try it and hopefully she doesn't get confused. Yesterday, was a very successful Day 2. We started a sticker chart and every time she goes potty she gets to put a Dora sticker up on the refrigerator and she gets 2 skittles. She gets pretty excited about it. I told her once she got 5 stickers then she could have a ring pop!! So, she got 5 stickers yesterday for going pee and poop!! She had one accident before lunch time but she was dry when she woke up from her nap. I was super worried that she had peed since she slept for 3 hours but it was dry!!! This morning was a little bit of a different story. She woke up really early for her, which was 6:45. She normally gets up at 7:30-8:00. She went the entire morning without going to the bathroom. She doesn't like "trying" to go and the book actually tells you not to do that but she waits until the very last minute and then runs!! lol!! Anyway, at 11:00 I started to worry since she hadn't gone to the bathroom yet. I just didn't think it was good for her to hold her pee. She kept holding herself and saying she had to go but then wouldn't go and got very angry when I would guide her to the bathroom. Ok, so 11:15 came and she had a very firm poop but she DID poop in the potty. I was so proud of her because it was very hard for her. SO, she got a ring pop! Here she is so excited. I think she had held her pee so long this morning because she had to poop. She is asleep now so we will see how she does!! I am so glad I can be home with her during this time so I don't miss anything. Although, I will have to admit that Mommy is quite tired since I am watching every move that she makes and not getting anything done!! It is definitely worth it though!!!!

My little cutie!

GO CHIEFS!!! From: Alivia

GO Chiefs From: Alivia- Daddy already purchased playoff tickets!! YIPEE!

Day 1 of 3 Day Potty Training

So this morning we decided to start 3 day potty training since the first thing Alivia wanted to do was put on her Dora underwear. I will have to admit I am quite nervous to begin this but I know she is showing signs that she is ready and she is the one that has been so interested so I figured while I was home I would give it a try. I am going to really try and stick to the "rules" of the potty guide and see if it works. It does say to have them wear underwear at night but I just can't do it. We are going to have her wear a pull-up at night and try explaining to her that they are for night time only. We will see how it goes! Day 1 has been quite tiring but she did go potty 2 times in the potty and wore big girl underwear all day long, even during nap time!! Cross your fingers for day 2!!
