Father's Day

Today Alivia and I are so grateful to have the best Daddy's in the world. We are so blessed to love them each and every day. We hope everyone had a great day with their Dads. Here is a glimpse of an unforgettable Father's Day!

Yesterday Ben and his Dad played in their annual Father, Son golf tournament! Check out their cute shirts and wigs! Terry is such a great dad and grandpa!
Before church!!

A little play time!

Daddy's girl!

Alivia made Daddy a cake! His favorite cake is chocolate sheet cake. She even got into a little bit. Can't you see the indentions out of it???

Daddy got a poker table and it is being delivered soon!! YEH!

Alivia also thought Daddy needed a play tent and tunnel since he LOVES to build forts all of the time. She loved reading her books in the tent too so it is her only little book nook!! We read our night, night story in the tent tonight. It was so cute to see her! :)

Alivia trying out the tunnel for the first time....priceless smile!

Having a great time...

and even more fun!!!!

So excited to have her tent for Daddy play/fort time!

The best Dad ever!

Father-Daughter Time!

Ended the night with a little swim at Grandma and Grandpa Stewart's house

I LOVE swimming!!!

The Next Carrie Underwood???

Ok, my title is definitely a joke but everyone knows how much I love Carrie Underwood so I had to title it that. This is not a very good video but I have been trying for a couple days to get a good video of her singing in the microphone and I can't ever get a good one. Here is just a little glimpse of our little singer!! Hopefully I can get a better video of her singing a few words and shaking her booty soon!!

Friday Play Date

Today was a fun-filled morning. We met Alivia's babysitter friends at Ava's grandparents house to swim. I was in the water with Alivia so I didn't get any pictures but she had a great time with her friends. We then went and met Jenn and Makena at McDonalds for lunch since Jenn was off work today. The girls had a blast playing! We were there for an hour and a half playing! Alivia was pooped in the 30 seconds when we got in the car! What a great Friday! :)

Playing the drums and dancing!

Tunnel time!

Big girls eating in their high chairs! Makena actually sat in her seat the entire time....she needs to teach Alivia how to do that!

So fun playing music!

Their favorite part...sliding!

Alivia's new maneuver....tummy sliding!

She was out in 30 seconds...this was when we got home! That doesn't look very comfortable, does it?

Rough Shopping Day

So today was one of those days that I knew would be coming but I just didn't know when. We started shopping at 8:30 this morning. I had a lot of things to take back so we were headed to many places. We went to Target, Gap Outlet, Babies R Us and the mall. Alivia is still taking a morning nap but usually if we go somewhere during her nap time she is ok to not have one. Well not the case this morning. She threw a huge tantrum every single store we went to. She would not sit in a cart and refused to let me hold her. These fits were screaming and throwing herself down on the ground. I could have just went home after Target but I had a lot of stuff to get done so instead we just plugged on right through the fits. While we were at the mall I let her play in the activity area (I know...GERMS but whatever works, right?) thinking this would help but it only made things worse because then she didn't want to leave. So right as we were leaving she had diarrhea all up the back of her outfit so we HAD to go the the community bathroom to change her. Well most of you know I don't care for the changing stations at public places and the ones at the mall by the food court are absolutely gross. I had to bare through it while Alivia was flipping out all over the place while I was changing her. It was definitely a mom experience I won't ever forget. I was just glad no one walked in on us at that point so they didn't get disgusted from the poop and see my physically holding Alivia down. He, he! Ok, well needless to say we went home right after this incident. Alivia then took a 3 hour nap, thank goodness. I am thinking it was my fault that she was so tired since she missed her morning nap. I probably should have gone home after the first store. She ended the night with her second night of swimming lessons at Legacy Park. Since I have class on Tuesday and Thursday nights Ben takes her on the other nights. She was still a little moody at her swimming lessons but not bad at all. Hello toddler stage for Alivia, right? Of course, I love her just the same but hoping tomorrow is better!

Ok, so don't ever try to take an umbrella stroller instead of the big stroller shopping....it can't carry everything and it tips over if you have to carry your child and push the stroller. I am sure that was hysterical if you could have seen me today doing this!

First time riding the carousel!

LOVED the ice cream truck

So fun!

Of course, all of the pictures she is having a good time because she was doing what SHE wanted to do. :)

LOVES the slide at swimming lessons

Her teacher catching her!

Our night ended with a bruiser on the side of her head. This was her chasing after me with the ice bag. Poor Alivia. She crashed in bed at 7:30 in nothing flat!

Play Date

Today we had a play date with Reese and Riston. Mommy went to college with their mommy and they were sorority sisters. We had a great day playing today. Alivia loved learning things from Reese. Alivia is becoming a little stubborn on sharing so we will keep working on that! Thanks for a great time guys!

Delicious Recipe

Ok, well for those of you that know I am NOT Betty Crocker at all so this I am sure will shock you! Ben and I make most of our meals on the grill so I really think this is my first "real" recipe I have ever done besides casseroles. I know that is terrible but I just don't like cooking. I got this idea from a good teacher friend, Jodi. Thanks Jodi for being my inspiration to try something new! Ben doesn't like tomatoes so he made his just a salad. Here is the recipe if anyone wants it! If I can do it anyone can!!! :)
1 big can of chicken-can use whole cooked chicken but I used a can
mayo
dash of pepper
mandarin oranges, apples or grapes- I did apples and grapes
dill relish
2 boiled eggs
Almonds- I didn't use almonds because I didn't have any
*Mix it all up and scoop into tomatoes. Scoop the stuff out of the middle of the tomatoes and cut into fourths, but not all the way down. Leaf goes down next and then a scoop of chicken on top. Delicious! ENJOY!
