Play Date

Today we had a play date with Alivia's good friends, Alivia (12 1/2 Months), Makena (10 1/2 Months), Claire (10 1/2 Months), Ramsey (8 1/2 Months), Aven (7 1/2 Months). We have been having play dates ever since they have been born so it has been so much fun watching them all grow. Every play date they interact more and more and their little personalities shine through! We had a great day today. Thanks girls for a wonderful day!

Makena and Alivia

Sooo fun!!! Alivia thought it was funny that Makena was tipping this over.

We were trying to stand them all up for a picture!

Look at Claire's hand...too funny!

Alivia decided to go over to her bag and get some snacks. The girls then decided to join her! It was hilarious watching them all crawl to her as she was shaking the snack container!

Babysitting Ava

Today after school I picked up Alivia and Ava from the babysitter since Ava's mommy is on bed rest. Allison (Ava's mommy) is one of my very good friends. The girls had so much fun in the back seat together. They were giggling the entire way to McDonalds. It was pretty funny. My Mom and Dad and Grandma met us at McDonalds too. Unfortunately when we got to McDonalds there were big kids in the 3 and under play area so we decided not to stay because Ava got knocked down. Isn't that frustrating when parents let their big kids play in the wrong area? :( So we got our McDonalds to go and ate at Allison's house. The girls played for a couple hours until Jason got home from work and Allison did a great job resting on the couch. I would have to say I had a lot of fun with the 2 of them even though it was only for a few hours. We love you Ava! :)

Riding together in the back seat!

Playing with Ava's big girl toys. They wouldn't sit still long enough for a good picture and this was the only one I got.

Snowy Sunday in our Jammies

After we got home from church and the grocery store we just played, played, played in our jammies while Daddy was working on his homework. We are so ready for the weather to get warmer so we can play outside but we had fun hanging out in our pajamas today!

Playing after lunch...she LOVES that can!!

Pajama time!

Being silly with mommy!

Just chillin in her slippers!

Mom, can we do this every day?

Joining the Church

Ben and I finished our connections class and officially joined Woods Chapel Methodist Church this morning. Alivia came to the beginning of the service for our family introduction into the church and then went to the nursery for the rest of the service. We are so glad to have found a church we like so much!

Saturday Play Date with Matthew

On Saturday Grandma and Grandpa Stewart babysat. They had just gotten back from Florida so they hadn't seen Alivia for a week! They were so excited to see her! They went over to Matthew's grandma and grandpa's house to play. Matthew is my very good friend, Ashley's son. Our parents are best friends so they had so much fun playing with their grand kids together. They had fun in the cabinets and are so good at playing together. So fun!

Brushing her Teeth

Chad and Kristin (Alivia's god parents) had this cute step stool/seat made for Alivia's 1st birthday. She LOVES taking the puzzle pieces out and putting them back in to spell her name. Tonight I tried to get her to stand on it to brush her teeth but I think she is a little too small for that yet. However, she DID hold her tooth brush all by herself tonight. She is growing up way too fast!

Daddy, I can do it all by myself!

Teacher Play Date

Today we had a play date with some of my teacher friends. We were sad we missed some of the kids earlier in the morning but we had a great time playing with Hudson, Henry, Jenna and Ava. We can't wait to have another teacher play date soon. Deana and Jenna, thanks for letting us play with all of your fun toys! :)

BIG GIRL!

Tonight we used Alivia's "big girl" plate and spoon at the kitchen table. As you can see she was a little distracted by Daisey trying to get her food but she actually reached for the spoon and played with it for a little bit. Alivia is a our little picky eater so we have to try different things all of the time. Last week she loved hamburger and cottage cheese but tonight she would only eat the hamburger dipped in ketchup...ha!! She also then decided she didn't like cottage cheese anymore but would eat the entire plate of yogurt. Funny little girl! She is LOVING playing in her big girl chair after her bath. This is her drinking her milk after bath time. SOooo Big! :)

First big girl dinner!

1 Year Check-Up

Today Alivia had her 1 year doctors visit. She weighed 17 lbs 5 oz. and is in the 5th percentile for weight and was 27 3/4 inches tall and in the 15 percentile for height. YEH...she went up in percentile for height. Maybe she is going to be taller than her mommy! She checked out grrreat! Mommy asked the doctor how much milk she should be drinking and they said 16-20 ounces. Well I knew they were going to say that so I prepared my questions to them as to how to get her to drink that much. (by the way we have been bottle free for 2 weeks! :) Our doctor said it was ok to flavor her milk with chocolate or strawberry to see if that would help since she really only drinks around 10 ounces on a good day! We will try that now and see if that helps! She had 2 shots today and we decided to wait on the MMR shot. Mommy is a little scared of that one so we will get it later this year sometime. WOW!! Time flies. It seems like just yesterday she was a newborn and we were taking her for weight checks every week. She is so much fun every day. We are so glad she is a healthy and happy little girl. I know I say this a lot but she truly is a blessing! :)

Fox 4 Baby

So last week we decided to send in Alivia's picture to be shown on the 1st year birthdays on Fox 4. Well we bombed on that one because we sent the picture and then forgot to watch the news. Ha! A few people saw it and told us about it but we were bummed we forgot to watch it. Fox 4 shows a video clip on their website so we got to see it there. Here is the link. If that doesn't work you can go to fox4kc.com and then click mornings-first birthdays-part 2 Feb.6 & 7

1 Year Birthday Girl

Today was Alivia's 1 Year Birthday party. Alivia had a blast and was in a great mood the entire time! We now officially have a toy room and it is NOT our living room. Ha! Thanks everyone for the wonderful gifts. Here are a few pics of our fun day. We love you Alivia! You are a blessing every day! :)
Cake table! Notice the chunk out of the front of the cake? Our dog, Daisey took a bite out of the cake. Not funny at all!
Alivia LOVES Baby Einstein. The cake on the left was the cake the hospital gave us when Alivia was born. We kept it in the freezer for a year so she could eat it. That is why she has 3 cakes. Ha!
Her birthday chair!

Now she is ready to use her hands!

Mommy and Daddy had to help her get messy because she wasn't messy enough and we wanted a messy picture. Daddy even got messy too!! ha!
